Autumn 2019 sees breakout artist EXIT 11 showcase his remix skills with a refreshing new take on Kinobe’s ‘Firebird’. It follows ‘Stay With Me’, a collaboration with Calvin Logue on Spinnin’ Deep, and comes one month ahead of EXIT 11’s debut on Glasgow Underground, both illustrating why EXIT 11 is heading up the list of hottest dance music producers in 2019.
In a short space of time, EXIT 11’s standout singles have propelled him into the credible dance music community. On esteemed labels like Subliminal Records and Spinnin’ Deep, always with robust grooves and emotive synths, his productions skills have elevated his tracks to the next level. Big names like Steve Lawler, Hot Since 82, Pete Tong, and BBC Radio 1 tastemaker Danny Howard have all had their heads turned by the English producer’s music, while his DJ sets at celebrated clubs like fabric and XOYO have truly made their mark on the dancefloor.
Kinobe were, of course, chillout kings in the noughties and are now back with a vengeance as proven by their recent outings. ‘Firebird’ was a single from their Golden Age album last summer and now it becomes a driving, deep and uplifting club cut in EXIT 11’s expert hands. He layers in brooding basslines and shimmering chords that imbue the track with real emotion. After an epic breakdown, it kicks once again and will get hands in the air as the vocal soars.
